“Additive Dentistry, Black Triangles"

Esthetic and restorative bias leads to irreversible and amputative procedures and sometimes the wrong treatment. To highlight the problem, Dr. Clark will demonstrate a rapidly expanding discipline, that of treating Black Triangles. Additive dentistry via injection molding of heated composite into anatomic tooth forms for monolithic restorations that rival ceramics, is a paradigm shift.

Topics:

Esthetics, Post Orthodontic Restorations, Monolithic Injection Molded Composite versus Traditional “Bonding”

Attendees will:

  1. Understand Patient’s Esthetic Preferences in Terms of Negative Space
  2. Learn the Basics of Injection Molded Composite Dentistry
  3. Appreciate How Additive Dentistry Changes Treatment Planning of the Compromised tooth or Dentition

Affiliations:

Co-Director of Bioclear Learning Centers.  Inventor of the Bioclear Matrix System

About the Presenter:

Dr. Clark is co-director of Bioclear Learning Centers International. He founded the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry. He is on the editorial board for several journals and has lectured in 20 different countries. Dr. Clark’s interests include the re-designing of restorative and endodontic cavity preparations; an overhaul of the tragically outdated GV Black cavity shapes.

He and Dr. John Khademi are widely acknowledged as the fathers of Minimally Invasive Endodontics, which at first was rejected by most North American endodontists, but is now being embraced by the mainstream.

Dr. Clark published the first guide and classification system for dentin and enamel cracks based on 16 power magnification and has conducted studies on cracked teeth.

He has designed numerous instruments, burs, wedges, matrices, separators and equipment and has written chapters for both esthetic dentistry and endodontic textbooks.
