Frustration and conflict are inevitable. How we deal with them directly influences our personal effectiveness, stress levels, and overall well being. In a clinical setting, this includes dealing with frustrated staff, patients, and referring doctors. By understanding the roots of frustration and our biases, we can incorporate strategies that restore peace while still maintaining standards.
Topics:
Communication, conflict resolution.
Learning objectives:
- Define frustration and its sources.
- Identify the "fundamental attribution error" and how it influences our conflicts.
- Detail a method for approaching conflicts.
