“Prosthodontic Solutions for Misplaced Implants”
  
Improperly placed implants can create a myriad of problems functionally and esthetically. The cause of improper placement often stems from two factors. The first factor is the inability to diagnose difficulties that may arise during implant placement and the second is a lack of understanding of what the esthetic and functional requirements of the implant will be. This lecture will focus on key points of knowledge that will prevent improper implant placement as well as clinical options for restoring implants that are improperly placed.
  
Attendees will learn:
  1. An overview of ideal situations for implant placement from the surgical and prosthetic points of view.
  2. The importance of prosthodontically driven implant placement for long term success esthetically and functionally.
  3. Prosthodontic solutions to restoring surgically misplaced implants as an alternative option for major surgical procedures to correct the position of previously misaligned implants in the dental arch.
