Precision and attention to detail lead to success in achieving excellence in all areas of dentistry. This presentation will focus on cast gold restorations. The restoration of endodontically treated teeth will be covered, paying particular attention to the preservation of the remaining coronal tooth structure. The use of orthodontic extrusion to save severely compromised teeth will also be presented as an adjunct to treating otherwise hopeless teeth.

About the Presenter:
Dick Tucker graduated from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 1976, and has maintained a private dental practice in Bellingham Washington for the past forty years. He mentors three clinical study clubs in gold restorations monthly. Dick has lectured in Mexico, Canada, the United States, and Europe. Other educational endeavors include teaching an elective course in cast gold restorations at the University of Washington School of Dentistry and teaching the Tucker Institute course in Cast Gold Restorations.
He is also an Affiliate Associate Professor at the University of Washington School of Dentistry, a member of the Academy of Operative Dentistry, a member of The American Academy of Restorative Dentistry, a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, and Past President of the American Academy of Gold Foil Operators. If he can’t be practicing dentistry, he enjoys fishing, sailing, and mountain climbing, having climbed six peaks over 18,000 feet.
